I have been married to my husband for 38 wonderful years. We have two children each with families of their own, which has blessed us with grandchildren, whom I love to spend time with and spoil.
Travel is one of my greatest passions. I love the chance to explore a new place, an adventure. Not only visiting new places, but to be able to learn about it too. When planning a new adventure, whether for myself of someone else, I am always fascinated by what I can learn. Of course, it is always exciting to go on the trips too. I love to see everyone’s pictures. You are able to get a new perspective, each person can go to the same place and come away with a different experience, different memories and a greater appreciation for the life we are leading.
If you were to ask me where my favorite places to visit would be I would have to immediately say the Outer Banks of North Carolina, also called the OBX. They exemplify “Island Time”. You will have one of the most relaxing experiences of your life, and the local folks are so easy going. Not only can you experience many tourist sites, a relaxing day on the beach, a bonfire at night, and of course sea shell and ghost crab hunting.
If you have never been to the Rocky Mountains I would suggest you add it to your bucket list. They are one of the most majestic sights I have ever seen. A drive through Rocky Mountain National Park will leave you in awe of the world we live in. Be sure to bring a camera, there are many wild animals that call RMNP home and the views are absolutely breathtaking. If you enjoy hiking, there are plenty of trails, too. If you are looking to be a bit more adventurous you can tackle Pikes Peak. Once you reach the summit you will see exactly why it was the inspiration for the song America the Beautiful. They certainly are purple mountains majesty.
If you are looking to head west, I would suggest the Seattle area. The Space Needle is one of the best ways to take in the views, but of course there is so much to see on the ground. Pike Place Market is something that can’t be expressed properly in words. There is just an energy to the area, you must experience it for yourself. Looking for something a bit more relaxed? Enjoy some lunch on the boardwalk at Puget Sound or take a walk along the Pacific Ocean.
I have also been fortunate enough to explore parts of Europe. The architecture is incredible, touring castles and walking through the streets of centuries old villages will transport you back in time. If you would like me to tell you about my favorite places, I would be thrilled to meet up for coffee and tell you all about it.
I could go on and on about all of the places I have visited and loved. What I would really like to do, though, is help you find your favorite places. Where would you like to visit? What is your next adventure? Let’s work together and make your dream vacation a reality. You will be able to share your experiences with friends and family for years to come.
